It's time for cherry picking! We have three great cherry trees that produce an abundance of sweet cherries and every June I sit on the patio swing and stress out about the many birds that swoop down and devour them. I wouldn't mind sharing the top part of the tree with them, but they get piggy and want it all. This year, I want to be able to dehydrate alot of them for our family's winter fruit and so my husband came up with a plan that seems to be working. Barbie!!! He found a Barbie head at a yard sale on Saturday and put it on a rock in the yard. It even scares us when we look out into the yard, forgetting it's there and see it on the rock. He also had 2 of ours sons put pie tins in the tree. But, I think it's Barbie that has them scared!!

Yes it is nice having the older ones take concern for the youngers. While he was here we took all the kids to the shooting range and he was so good at educating them about firearms. How to hold them, respect them, etc. We have pics of him and the little ones. Not that dad and I haven't taught them about firearms but having big brother do it was a treat.
I love your Barbie scarecrow! Hilarious!!
